It's Enamelled Stoneware... Do You Care?
What if we told you that this enamelled stoneware carafe comes from the Cap Bon Peninsula in Tunisia, handmade with minerals from the Mediterranean Sea? Would you care? Would you carafe we told you that the sandstone used for the manufacture of this product has been naturally heated to more than 1300 degrees? We think you would.
We think you would also care to know how to care for this product, so we will tell you:
- It is microwave and dishwasher safe, phewf.
- Don’t put it in your oven though. It’s already been fired remember..1300 degrees - don’t push it.
- It’s completely free of toxic heavy metals (like cadmium and lead, yuck!) and carcinogens found in other, less robust, ceramic forms.
- Did we mention it was made in Tunisia? By hand? 1300 degrees?
- We should also mention, the tumblers are sold separately, but they are made by the same process, so... you might care to own them, too.
*P.s. we don’t carafe you use it as a vase. It would make an amaze vase.
